Heirloom portraits for a 2 Year Old | St. Simons Island Children’s Studio Photographer

Looking to have heirloom portraits in St. Simons Island? Look no further – I’ve got you. I absolutely LOVE taking portraits of children of all ages – especially some southern style heirloom portraits. It’s so much fun to capture their unique personalities – smiles, giggles, fits and all. I would almost say that I may love photographing children nearly as much as I love photographing newborns!

I have been photographing Miss Laurel here since she was just a wee newborn. She comes to me now for these yearly birthday portraits and I’m always so excited to see how much she’s grown and how her personality is just blooming and changing from year to year.

Isn’t she just the cutest?? See what I mean about all of her expressions? Mamas, I would love to help you out to get some beautiful portraits of your children in the studio and I promise we will have fun. Lots of fun! I also assure you that you’ll likely be laughing at me when you see the crazy things I do to get these expressions and reactions from your children. It’s just good, wholesome fun while we work to create something magical.

For these portraits, Miss Laurel brought her own heirloom – this beautiful pink dress that she is wearing was worn by her Great-Great_Grandmother for her 2 year old portraits and each generation of women therafter at their 2 year portraits. I want to cry. Seriously. What a special keepsake these portraits will be for her when she’s all grown up and has children of her own to share them with?

I know you’ve heard it said before – that we don’t take pictures for us, but we take pictures for our next generations. This could not be more true. Her parents are capturing these moments and preserving her legacy for her to share with her own children when she is grown.
